It is only after this stage that the ISO 45001 certification can be awarded. Certification lasts for a period of three years and will be subject to further mandatory audits every 12 months to ensure that the business remains compliant. At the end of the three year period, there will also be a further “reassessment” audit that will result in re-certification should the business pass.
